About Danceroof.com… the idea actually dates back to 2007! Yes, you read that right. But it took more than 15 years to make it real. Life happens, priorities change, projects get delayed. Then in 2021, the project came back to life in a new format.

After another three years of hard work, countless hours invested, and more than a little money spent, the next big step was the internationalization. But going global also meant finding a new name! We wanted something universal, with “dance” in it, and of course easy to use in English.

The domain name was available, the paperwork seemed fine… until we received a letter from a French law firm representing a certain giant social network. Let’s just say they weren’t too happy with our initial choice, because it included the word “book” in English. Yep, we even got the full annex: a lovely 350-page legal document listing all the countries where their trademark is registered 🙂

Result? More money lost, more time spent migrating, but in the end it gave birth to something bigger:

We poured energy, skills, sweat, plenty of cash, brainpower, and most importantly, heart into it. And that’s pretty much the story of Dance 2 Couple so far.

What’s new with Dancemoov is that it’s not just about couple dancing anymore – it’s for all dance communities. It’s international, with events, venues, and dancers across the globe. Whether you’re into salsa, tango, bachata, swing, or ballroom, you can find information and connect with dancers worldwide.

We could go on and on, but the easiest way is to visit the platforms themselves. social.dancemoov.com is the social and dating site, while dancemoov.com is the main portal. The two have separate user databases, so if you want to use both, you’ll need to sign up twice.
